Alright, Figure i might aswell post the prologue here
Ivan was cold. The god damn cold was everywhere. His feet were cold, his hands were cold, his neck, his legs, his arms,
even his fucking bones were cold. He took the shovel again and forced himself to continue. The group shouldn't be here,
but Simon seemed convinced they'd find something here. He was starting to believe Simon was less than sane until he heard
the shout from his colleague.
"Guys! I think I've found something." Joe called out. Joe was too open for Ivan's taste. Always the first to spill everything he'd found. Most of the time it was junk. Didn't matter though, he'd already gathered the attention of the rest of them, and they were beginning to move to his location. Ivan didn't really believe Joe had anything this time, but anything was better than shoveling this shit out of the way. He made his way to the area, following behind the rest of the team. He could hear Simon's shouts of joy as he came closer to the place.
"It's here, I know it now more than ever. Everyone, I want you all digging from here. Ivan, Joe, Emilia, I want you to begin to setup the posts to hold these walls up. The rest of you, with me. We're digging down there." Ivan never got the best look at the thing, but apparently it had stoked Simon's interests. He supposed it was easy to stoke his interests these days. Ivan hadn't even noticed Emilia before she tapped him on the shoulder.
"Christ! Don't sneak up on me like that." She wasn't listening. Joe had already began setting up the posts, and she'd gone to help. Beginning to set up some posts of his own, Ivan's eyes caught something glisten yellow near where Simon had started his digging. He wanted to simply ignore it and get on with it, so he could finally leave this shithole, but he felt drawn to it, as if he had to examine it. Approaching the strange gem, he seemed to feel more entranced the closer he got, but before he could lay a hand on it, Simon was behind him, grabbing it quickly, his face clearly overjoyed.
"This is it. This is it. YES. You've found it Ivan, the discovery of a lifetime." Simon shouted. "It looks like an ordinary gemstone to me, hardly a great discovery." "You don't understand, this isn't an 'ordinary gem', it's an energy source. There might be more like it, too, but we ought to take it to the surface." It was difficult to argue with Simon now, and he was glad to finally be getting out of this place. On the climb up he reflected on the feeling, approaching the crystal. The nausea, the trancelike state he was forced into..
Quickly the crystal began to glow from yellow to orange within it's carrier, the bag slowly burning as the sunlight stretched out onto the plains. The group began to panic as the flames grew greater, and Simon quickly dropped the bag. Soon, the bag was almost fully burned, the crystal taking a hellish shape on the ground. It began to crackle with lightning, as an aura of blue rose from the center. Ivan was somehow forced to look at it, as he felt his eyes fade to black.
(I worked together with a friend of mine to make it, so far there are 5 chapters, if you guys are interested i will post more of it)
